Capuchin Monastery and Vault
Capucinorum Vault or in Czech Kapucinska Krypta is a tomb in basement of the Church of Capucinorum (Kostel Nalezeni svateho Krize or Kapucinsky kostel) where are saved mummies of monks. These mummies are hundreds of years old and you can see them if you visit the crypt. The Capuchin Monastery was built in 1651. The Capuchin Vault was built by architect Moric Grimm in a half of 18th century. One of the mummies is also famous Baron Trenck who was a prisoner in Kasematy at Spilberk castle.
How to get there
If you are visiting Brno, I strongly recommend to visit this interesting place. The monastery is located at Kapucinske namesti square. It is very close to Masarykova street and Vegetable market (Zelny trh).
