There is a huge selection of pubs and restaurants in Brno. I've tried to mention here my favorite.

Stredoveka krcma means medieval bodega. This restaurant situated at the main street is built whole in medieval theme. You can meet there almost real medieval staff.
I recommend this one if you are fan of history.

Stylish pub in city center. There is a cool fireplace inside. You can also use a back-garden with tables in summer.

Nice pub situated in city center. They are cooking cheap and tasty meals. There is also a free wifi hotspot for guests.

If you want to try good quality Indian food, this restaurant is a good choice. The meals are pretty expensive though.

Old functionalist (the same architecture style like Villa Tugendhat has) cafeteria where interesting events taking place. It is little harder to find it. It is situated at the corner of a park.

Very cool place to have a coffee or some exotic drink. This cafe is situated in city center.
